5 tips to build confidence

1) Like Yourself:
Learning to like yourself is one of the most valuable things you can do to build your confidence. Many of us believe that we are not good enough or are somehow ‘ less than’ other people. These old thoughts are based on old negative programming and they are simply not true. The real truth is that you are just as good as everyone else on this planet and you deserve to feel good.
2) Please yourself first:
Own up, are you a people pleaser? If so, you are not alone! Many of us spend our lives trying to gain approval from other people. However, in doing so, we often put ourselves second or hold back from saying or doing what we really want. Instead of putting all your energy into pleasing other people, start to please yourself and focus on what you want out of life, rather than what other people want. 3) Make a decision to feel good:
Start to change your focus away from keeping other people happy and move towards making yourself feel good. Try writing a list of 20 things that make you happy and aim to do at least one a day. 4) Soothe your negative thoughts:
Most of us just keep repeating the same old negative thoughts each day. These thoughts stem from negative programming we received during our younger years and are simply old Spam. Take back your power from these thoughts and make a decision not to buy into them anymore. Practice choosing more soothing and kinder thoughts each day instead. 5) Stop comparing yourself to other people:
We often get into the habit of comparing ourselves unfavorably to other people. Don’t get into the habit of thinking just because someone has a better job or more money than you that you are less than or inferior to them in some way. Be proud of who you are.
